Kashiwa mochi is white mochi surrounding a sweet anko(red bean paste) filling with a Kashiwa leaf wrapped around it.

These were delicious! Was quite surprised by the evolving flavours. We thawed these over a day in the fridge and let them sit to reach room temperature. They were soft and just a bit sticky.
It has Smooth texture and fine smells of Kashiwa leaf. Not like home made quality. I really enjoyed it with Maccha green tea.
